Researchers find that trust established by female leaders practicing strong interpersonal skills results in better crisis resolution when outcomes are predictable. They describe this ‘female leadership trust advantage’ in a paper published in the June 2019 print issue of Psychology of Women Quarterly, ‘A Female Leadership Trust Advantage in Times of Crisis: Under What Conditions?’ It is the first study to examine why and when a trust advantage emerges for female leaders during organizational crises.
