Learning survey

In 2017, Health Education England (HEE) commissioned a learner experience survey across healthcare to help understand the attitudes and experiences of using technology for learning in the NHS. Over 1500 of you helped complete the survey. This quantitative and qualitative research provided HEE with a rich picture of how different staff groups were using technology to access education and their experience of using technology enhanced learning (TEL), enabling important decisions to be made about where to focus the attention of their work.

HEE are now repeating the survey to help gather information about where there have been changes and if the use of TEL is improving the education of the health and care workforce and the care provided to patients.

HEE would like to ask for your support in cascading the survey to your colleagues across the NHS and wider health and care sector to give as diverse a sample of staff responses as possible and also to try and beat the previous number of participants to give a richer data set.

The survey, which is open until 18 July 2019, is anonymous and easy to complete, taking on average 15 minutes of your time.

This year HEE are also offering, as an incentive, a personalised link for your Trust or organisation, meaning your organisation can receive a personalised report into learner attitudes and behaviours. If this is of interest, please contact richard.price@hee.nhs.uk.
